Shanna Decker, MPH, DVM

Dr. Shanna Decker joined the Killewald Small Animal Hospital team in September 2010. She assumed the role of Chief of Staff in July 2013. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she now calls Western New York her home. She completed her studies at the Ohio State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in 2005, Master of Public Health in 2008, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She continually strives to provide superior medical care to her clients and their cherished pets.

Dr. Decker is interested in preventive medicine, surgery, and fostering the human-animal bond. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, exploring small eateries in the area, and spending time with her family. Dr. Decker and her husband have two boys, two dogs, and three cats. The attraction to upstate New York came from years of family vacations in the Finger Lakes region and the abundance of outdoor activities the area has to offer.
